What's New? Plenty. Or, at least, a few “things.”

Master Chopson’s Pop-uP Ne0-Alt DADA / Fluxus Extravaganza RETURNS to Big Trouble Brewing Company in Gallatin, Tennessee, on April 20, 2024. 4202024 — it’s the calendrome palindrome show!

Link to “Toward the Sun,” published in the journal Historical Ethnology, a journal very much on the (near) other side of the world (from me), thanks to Taner Murat of the Anticus Multicultural Association of Constanta, Romania. Historical Ethnology is/was an academic Tatar journal, published out of The Republic of Tatarstan, a "sovereign" state of the Russian Federation.

Here's the link, if you would like to take a look. Just highlight, right click, choose “go to . . . “

Perhaps you should check out TOUCHED in The Store.

If you missed the Avant-Garde Film Night in Gallatin, Tennessee, featuring my film TOUCHED, consider coming to the next one in May 2024. I also do additional “special” film nights — like the FRANKENSTEIN viewing . . .

Chopson was invited to bring his performance piece DADA-DADA-BRÜLLT-BRÜLLT/Une Variante to the Ventnor Fringe 2022 Festival on the Isle of Wight in England this past July! It was an awesome experience . . .

Dreamland Motel, a brand new, podcast adventure, is available here, and only here, NOW!

Chopson is the official Poet Laureate of Gallatin, Tennessee!

Chopson’s new theatrical/conceptual art piece was in the 2021 Kindling Arts Festival in Nashville! The link to the festival is below. The trailer and descriptions of the show are still available to view via this link. The show was entitled DADA-DADA-BRÜLLT-BRÜLLT! and took place at The Barbershop Theater on August 27th, 2021.

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING AN INTEREST IN ART! The Store is mentioned quite a bit here (on this “What’s New? page) but I do honestly hope that you will look around the site (via the menu above), even if you do not buy anything. There is stuff to see, to hear, and to read that I sincerely hope will be worth your time — all for FREE! But, if something does strike your fancy, your support would be greatly appreciated. There is also a “Donate” button, if you would just like to support, at any level, my continued efforts to speak to kindred souls in the world through the languages of art and philosophy.

Chopson’s award-winning film TOUCHED is available via THE STORE as well! TOUCHED was an Official Selection of the BLOW-UP International Arthouse Film Festival in Chicago and a finalist at the Swedish International Film Festival in Arvika, Switzerland, in addition to garnering a few laurels here and there from small festivals in Italy, India, and Bhutan.

Chopson’s first poetry collection A Hollow Earth is SOLD OUT! A new collection is currently in progress.

Go straight to THE STORE (from the menu above) to read about and/or purchase TOUCHED, A Hollow Earth, Chopson’s first film This Is WAs-TV, or A Measured Strip of Signs (a simple art piece), or an Invisible Bird with Cage: Tango, Tango, One, or a RE-ENCHANTMENT Penny, or prints of Morning Vision. Even if you are not interested in buying anything, take a look. LOOKING is FREE!

Click any of the other menu icons above to discover more about Chopson and his work …

Chopson does HOUSE CONCERTS! Chopson — as Master Chopson (or Master Bastard) and Remember Z has a NEW story to tell. The story is told through a unique mash-up of poetry reading meets house concert meets performance art that is extraordinarily unique. CHOPSON would like to tell this story at your house, surrounded by a few of his beloved props and open-minded, good people. For finger food, a drink or two (Chopson prefers the choice of classic existentialists: apricot sours), and one hundred and one one dollar bills (or less . . . make me an offer) placed in a black and blue envelope, Chopson will drive to your “place” (as long as it is within a fifty mile radius of Nashville), set up a few of his beloved props, a couple of small amps and a microphone, and entertain your guests with compelling brushes with the Truth. If you’re a bit too beyond Nashville, just add one dollar per mile beyond the fifty mile radius. Chopson will drive anywhere within the continental U.S. in order to “entertain” your guests. Do something NEW and different. Contact kevinchopson@gmail.com to book this cool, “weird,” little show.

Poetry and prose by Chopson has appeared in dozens of university and independent journals, newspapers, and magazines across the U.S. and abroad. Chopson does “traditional'“ poetry readings of his work as well. He will come to your house or apartment, school or university, the venue you secure, or any room or stage anywhere, and present his work, and a couple of “famous” poems by others, for an extraordinarily reasonable fee — again, make me an offer. Inquire at kevinchopson@gmail.com.
