Box Notes for TOUCHED: “Foucault meets Derrida meets Wittgenstein meets Lacan meets Baudrillard meets Lyotard meets Tristen Tzara in this film that addresses the postmodern condition with stark images and on startling terms. Chopson strings together a series of vignettes that forces the viewer to reconsider his or her position toward “the other” in society. Concurrently, the genesis of the artistic impulse is revealed. The recurrent whispering voices makes the point clear. TOUCHED touches.”

Box Notes for This Is WAs-TV: “In This Is WAs-TV, Kevin Marshall Chopson literally and metaphorically takes the viewer hostage on his journeys from the city of Utrecht, in The Netherlands, to Constanta, Romania, to Nashville, Tennessee, and beyond. This is a trip like none other. Attempting to reach-out and connect with friends on social media, this self-described teacher, poet, guide, artist, and shaman is simply a man talking to the camera about his personal observations and pressing issues of contemporary life. Along the way, from garret to garret to home “studio,” he reflects on the big ideas throughout history, attempts to “crush time,” shares literary and philosophical texts, and — oddly enough — reminds us what it means to be human. Startlingly transparent, intelligent, and vulnerable, this stranger is trying to make a difference. Watching this, as long and as taxing as it can be at times, transforms the viewer into a kinder, gentler, and more aware version of his or herself. Chopson says he is a monster bearing gifts. He may be right.”

If you love any of the other films that surround the DVD boxes of TOUCHED and This Is WAs-TV below, more than likely you will love this film.
